Urban demolition is watched by people who did not tender it. At Alpha Serene, Kochi, two 17-floor towers sat with houses nine metres off the plot. The only acceptable debris field was the towers’ own footprints.
The method is designed inward collapse: strip non-structural mass, weaken columns and shear walls in sequence, fold the building into itself. Fly-rock into the street is a design failure, not bad luck.
Municipalities, neighbours and insurers should see the drawing before the shot. We treat the viewing line as part of the method. The film is public.
